Snob! That characterization reflects the typical middle class English
prejudice against light verse, a deformed sensibility which would elevate
"In Memoriam" above "The Pobble Who Had No Toes" as the central tragic
poetic text of the nineteenth century.
No wonder you seem intent on rehabilitating VB.
Who incidentally isn't technically the owner and exploiter of the Slam
Poetry Master of Raynes Park. VB's official address, to which I am reliably
informed that he has returned since The Advent of Asher, is actually some
