After receiving a record number of entrants this year, the winner of the Libraries Change Lives Award will be announced at the CILIP Libraries Change Lives Conference on 6th July in London.
Projects shortlisted this year are:
HMP Edinburgh Library Partnership (The City of Edinburgh Council): A pioneering partnership to create a library with a refreshed vision that will enhance prisoners' lives, both as inmates and on release
Home from Home (London Borough of Barking and Dagenham): A project that reaches out to home-restricted people providing access to recreation, information and social engagement offered by the library service
Macmillan Information and Support Service (Manchester Library & Information Service): An innovative partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, designed to deliver crucial information about cancer in a familiar community setting

CILIP's new Libraries Change Lives Conference also looks at the new challenges libraries face in post-election Britain. Delegates will also benefit from case studies of previous Libraries Change Lives Award (LCL) winners and a session on tackling the NEETs agenda.
