The Conversation stage of CILIP's 'Defining our professional future'
programme is well underway. There has been a great response to the
Conversation so far with many issues surfacing from in-depth interviews,
focus groups and a range of discussions on social media.
The outcomes from this part of the research have now been fed into a survey
which is open to all those in the knowledge and information community -
please complete the survey to have your say on the issues facing your
profession and how CILIP fits into this by completing the online survey at
www.cilip.org.uk/conversationsurvey
The survey will be open until midnight on Tuesday 22 June 2010 and forms the
quantitative element of the project. CILIP Trustees will then consider the
findings to develop a Vision and Roadmap. Find out more about the Defining
our professional future programme at www.cilip.org.uk/cilipfuture
To ensure CILIP does not influence the issues to be discussed it has
commissioned Research by Design, an independent market research agency, to
manage the Conversation. If you have any queries about completing the survey
please contact Ruth McGranaghan, Senior Research Manager, Research by Design
on 0121 643 9090 or [log in to unmask] or Mark Taylor, Head of
Corporate Marketing & Media Relations, CILIP on 020 7255 0654 or
[log in to unmask]
You can keep up to date with online conversations about the future of your
profession through a Netvibes-based visual dashboard including blog posts,
videos, comments on Twitter and discussion forums.
Contributions made to the Conversation through social media will be gathered
up until Wednesday 30 June. CILIP will keep listening to what people have to
say after this date, any contributions just won't formally feed into the
Defining our professional future programme.
