The 'art versus science' poll has provoked some fascinating responses. Many
thanks to all. The response rate is good - but could be better. I'll close
the poll at midnight on Friday to compile the results and complete a short
write-up over the weekend. I'll share that with the list.
If you haven't responded so far, please consider adding your view(s). It
takes seconds and really would be appreciated. Original message follows
(below).
Regards,
Rob

Subject: [UTSG] Transport Modelling: Art or Science?
Hi
I've been asked to speak at a transport modelling conference next week and
touch on a recurring theme running through the event: Transport Modelling -
Art or Science? I'd like to poll UTSG subscribers' views on this question.
I'll simply aggregate the results and will not be attributing them to
specific individuals.
So what do you think, art or science? I'd really appreciate as many answers
as possible so to keep things quick, simply reply to me at [log in to unmask]
with the words 'art' or 'science' in the subject line. Please don't reply
through the List.
If you're inclined to expand on your view(s) I'd be delighted to read your
thoughts. Similarly, any references to articles or papers that touch on
this issue would be gratefully received.
I hope you can spare me one minute of your time. I'll report the results
back to the List in due course.
Kind regards,
Rob Bain
