Why do it at all? For me, it's another reason to camp on Todd Swift and to remember that he was laughed off this list.
Though assuming the list will appear, don't neglect Dick Miller, whose only book (with a blurb from Ted Berrigan) is still in my collection. Also known for his work with Allen Fisher on Spanner magazine and Aloes Books. He was a big help to me in interviewing Bernadette Mayer. Charles Bernstein provided me with a conversational account of DM's last literary reading (in NYC with CB, early eighties).
