Founded by Thomas Carlyle in 1841, the London Library is now the largest independent lending library in the world. It has a proud tradition of serving generations of readers, writers, scholars and researchers by lending material from its extensive collection, which now exceeds one million books and periodical volumes.
What will the visit cover?

- tour of the collections
- new library spaces
Who is this for? Those preparing for Chartership, Revalidation or Certification can add reflections on this visit to their portfolio. It is also ideal for anyone simply wishing to learn about the facilities and resources.
