Dear Isabel,
Seeing your pictures I finally remembered. I think these are the sporocarps
of Pilularia, probably globulifera. if you don't have it in the collection,
you could cut it in half to see if it has four chambers inside.
Kind regards,

Subject: Animal or vegetal?
Dear all, during the last IWGP in Wilhelmshaven I had the opportunity to
show many of our colleagues this 'specimen' which I had first considered as
a seed. However while opening one of the many specimens I have found in the
sediments of a 5th century well, I noticed a gelatinous layer which may
considered suspicious for a seed. S. Jacomet suggested that this might come
from an animal. Does anyone have an idea of what this is?
Thank you in advance for your help
Best regards
Isabel Figueiral
