Announcement of Conference on Latent Variable Models; Honoring Michael W. Browne
We are pleased to announce and issue an open invitation to a conference on Current Topics in the Theory and Application of Latent Variable Models, to be held September 9-10, 2010, at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.
The conference honors the career and distinguished scientific contributions of Professor Michael W. Browne of Ohio State. The conference is being organized by Michael Edwards and Robert MacCallum and sponsored by The Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychology as well as the Departments of Psychology and Statistics at Ohio State.
The conference program will consist of presentations by 15 invited speakers and will cover a range of topics and current research on issues in latent variable models. A list of speakers and tentative titles and abstracts for their presentations is available at the conference website at:

All interested individuals are invited to attend the conference as well as the banquet honoring Michael Browne, to be held September 9.
Of special note to students, some funding for student travel and lodging is available through sponsorship by SMEP. An application procedure for these funds is described at the conference website.
