Dear colleagues,
In Ireland many of the professional regulatory bodies are introducing
Continuous Professional Development as a mandatory requirement for their
registered practitioners. Access to the Library's online resources are seen
as an essential and attractive component of any online CPD offering.
We would be very interested to hear your experiences in deciding how to
approach this issue.
- In particular what considerations you factored in regarding
licencing agreements?
- What additional supports/services you thought necessary to
anticipate/introduce to support this cohort, incl online/tel support,
information sessions, creation on online modules, etc and whether on
reflection they were necessary?
- what type of charging/costing structure you introduced, how that
was perceived and how that relates to your traditional walk in access.
Your advice and thoughts on your experiences, both positive or negative
would be most appreciated. Let me know if you would prefer me to give you a
call to discuss further. All information received will be treated in
confidence, unless requested otherwise.
Many thanks,
Peter
