GIA is a London based specialist multi-disciplinary surveying and design consultancy with eight areas of expertise, working on some of the most well-known and prestigious property developments in the UK.
We are seeking a volunteer, student or recent graduate to work as a Photogrammetrist over the summer. We can offer travel costs and lunches.
The role is to help create a Wide Area 3D Model of London captured to a high level of detail utilising the highest resolution aerial imagery available. The models are available for use within GIA and for resale to third party users such as Architects and local authorities.
Your main duty will be capturing and editing 3D data using BAE Systems SOCET SET software. Experience of using Photogrammetric software is essential as is the ability to accurately view and measure images on a digital photogrammetric workstation. Other work will include using CAD software to convert models for use within internal CAD department and for external clients.
The right individual should have experience of or an interest in the following software packages;
BAE systems SOCET SET v5.5, AutoCAD 2008, ESRI ArcGIS 9.1, 3D Studio MAX, Adobe Photoshop
