We are seeking a high calibre specialist Principal or Senior Biostatistician
to provide expert analysis and leadership to the biostatistics team at this
internationally renowned clinical based cancer research and treatment
facility. You will have access to the largest concentration of cancer
clinicians and researchers in the southern hemisphere, as well as a world
class cancer treatment, research and education program attracting
international investment and research collaborations.
The new $1 billion Comprehensive Cancer Centre, due for completion in 2015,
will be a centre of excellence that facilitates the rapid translation of
ground-breaking discoveries from 'bench to bedside'. It will be ranked
amongst the top ten cancer centres in the world, and drive leadership and
innovation in the fields of cancer treatment, research and education.
Based in Melbourne, and reporting to the Director for Biostatistics and
Clinical Trials, you will play the lead role in the successful operation and
management of the Biostatistical and IT sections of the centre, providing
excellence in statistical and central trial management support for
researchers and national cooperative groups. You will also be responsible
for developing and building on established relationships with clinical and
other researchers to increase the profile as one of the leading clinical
trials and statistics centres of its type in Australasia.
