The Canadian Disability Studies Association - Association Canadienne
des Études sur l'Incapacité (CDSA-ACEI) is seeking a Journal Editor
for the new "Canadian Journal of Disability Studies" for a period of
three years with the option of renewal.
The Journal Editor will have the exciting opportunity to develop the
journal from inception through to development of a flagship
publication reflecting the goals and objectives of the CDSA-ACEI,
which include the publication of high quality, leading edge academic
research in disability studies.
The CDSA-ACEI has committed funding to the establishment and
publishing of the journal, and the Journal Editor will be encouraged
to meet the requirements for obtaining long-term funding for the
journal.
The ideal candidate for Journal Editor will have a Ph.D. in an area
suitable to developing a broad spectrum of submissions in the area of
disability studies; have tenure or be on tenure-track at a Canadian
university; demonstrate previous experience with an academic journal;
and a willingness to work with the CDSA-ACEI Publications Committee to
develop and expand the journal.
