Teaching Fellow in Human Geography
We are seeking applications for a Teaching Fellow in Human Geography to
provide high quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Applications from areas of human geography that relate to the
Department's teaching programmes are welcome, and some experience of
teaching quantitative methods is desirable.
The post is available for a fixed-term period of 10 months from 1st
September 2010 or soon thereafter and the salary will be in the range of
£37,519–£39,627 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits
include 30 days annual leave, final salary pension scheme and
interest-free season ticket loan.
Research and Teaching Officer
We are currently seeking to appoint a Research and Teaching Officer to
support all aspects of the research work (funding opportunities,
administration of grants, REF preparations, etc.) and teaching support
(eLearning, fieldwork etc.) in the Department.
Candidates will be expected to have a degree, preferably in Geography or
a cognate discipline, coupled with experience of departmental
administration and managing grant-funded research within a leading
University. The appointee will have a thorough knowledge and
understanding of, and empathy with, research work, funding and teaching
in a research intensive department. She or he will possess a thorough
knowledge and grounding in ICT and web-management skills relevant to the
electronic support of teaching and learning.
This is a full time and permanent post and the salary will be in the
range £24,478–£30,229 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits
include 30 days annual leave, final salary pension scheme and
interest-free season ticket loan.
