Lecturer in Statistics

Full time continuing position
We seek an enthusiastic and capable statistician to join the School
of Mathematics and Applied Statistics, which is one of the strongest
and most vibrant in Australia. It has two university research
strengths, including the Centre for Statistical and Survey
Methodology (CSSM). The School provides a statistical consultancy
service to the broader University and the CSSM has extensive research
and consulting contracts with external agencies and a number of ARC
funded research projects. The Australian Bureau of Statistics
currently funds a research professor in statistical methodology,
scholarships and cadetships for our undergraduates.
This is a continuing position suitable for someone able to make a
strong contribution in teaching, research and consulting. The
appointee will have a PhD in statistics or a cognate area and have an
active research program in an area of statistics compatible with
current research interests within the school.
