Dear Benjamin,
there are a few useful tools: I would recommend looking at TSDiffAna and
ArtefactRepair. Both of them are linked on the SPM extensions web page.
TSDiffAna produces some simple statistics for each image/slice. It can
be used in SPM8 batch mode, you can run it routinely in your
preprocessing batch scripts to print summary statistics into the spm.ps
file for each subject.
ArtefactRepair has a nice "ContrastMovie" facility to browse all images
in a time series. I wouldn't really suggest using the "Repair"
functionality, though. There is a nice documentation about its pros and
cons on the ArtefactRepair web site.
