***Apologies for cross posting***
IESR provides an academic "Yellow Pages" to support discovery, promotion and
use of research collections and academic resources. IESR would like to
invite ideas for case studies to illustrate use of IESR in different
contexts. The payment for each study will be £1000.
Case studies should be focused and practical, documenting use of IESR
through its web based search applications or its machine-to-machine
interfaces. A description of the process should include details about use,
implementation, benefits and suggested enhancements. The case studies will
provide ideas and guidance for future enhancements to the service.
Possible case studies may include—but are not limited to—the following:
* Use of IESR to discover and monitor resource collections in a specific
subject area
* Contributing to IESR to promote awareness and use of collections
* Incorporating IESR content within a search application
* Harvesting, aggregating and re-using IESR content to form new collections
relating to specific interests, subjects or formats
* Use of IESR content to populate a local portal, catalogue or Virtual
Learning Environment (VLE)
Please indicate your interest via an email outlining the intended use case
by 7th May 2010. Further information and contact details are available at:
