Hello all.
This is your last chance to register for the CETIS Repositories and the
Open Web (CETISROW) meeting in London on 19 April.
The theme of the meeting is how repositories fit in with the web, and
how do web 2.0 / social sharing sites compare to repositories when used
for the management and dissemination of learning materials. Further
details are at http://bit.ly/cetisrow -- I need to confirm numbers for
catering soon.
The venue will be room 4.17, Birkbeck College, Malet Street, WC1E 7HX
We will start with registration, tea/coffee/biscuits (maybe) at 10:00
with the main business starting at 10:30.
The general format of the day will be short (10 min) presentations in
the morning, based on the position papers which some of you are
preparing, and discussion in the afternoon of the themes that arrive. We
shall be finished by 16:00.
Position papers.
We are trying to collect as many position papers on the subject of the
meeting as possible, even if you cannot attend the meeting you might
want to submit a position paper. They don't have to be long, or formal.
If you have something you've prepared before (a summary of a report, a
presentation) that's relevant then feel free to re-purpose that. Drop me
line if you do write a position paper and I'll link to it from
http://wiki.cetis.ac.uk/Cetisrow or host it on the CETIS wiki if that is
what you prefer. I would like the position papers to be made available
a week before the event, i.e. on Mon 12 April, so we all get a chance
to look through them in advance (let me know if you want to write a
position paper but cannot prepare by Monday).
Best regards Phil.
