Apologies to those not in the area of Reading, UK.
Reading Reading is a reading group that is loosely focused on ethics, government, and citizenship, and meets monthly at RISC in central Reading.
The date for our next meeting is 13 May (although anyone who would really like to come but can't make this date should let us know and we'll see about moving it) - 7pm or 6.30pm for those who want food.
We thought we'd read something on anti-politics and postpolitics so we're proposing two readings:
Andrew Barry, 'The anti-political economy', Economy and Society 31(2).
Erik Swyngedouw, 'The antinomies of the postpolitical city: In search of a democratic politics of environmental production', International Journal of Urban and Regional Research 33(3).
Let us know if you have trouble accessing these papers but would like to read them and come.
Thanks and hope to see some of you in a month's time. Nick Clarke and Beth Greenhough.
