Hi Alyson
We (Manchester Disabled People's Access Group) offer disability equality
training. We use the social model of disability and would probably design
a course specifically for your staff, which would be about the barriers
that face disabled people with cancer, MS etc and how staff can best work
with and communicate with disabled people and deal with day to day issues
covering buildings, services, policies, attitudes etc. We usually work
with local authority staff to identify the work that participants are
currently doing, so that we can develop case studies and other learning
strategies that relate to their workplace issues.
We are all disabled people with training qualifications including
disability equality training, and have a range of impairments including
those you mention.
Please contact Ruth if you are interested in discussing this further
Best wishes
