I know, fascinating universe isn't it? I can quite like its contradictions,
sometimes. I certainly haven't stopped reading new poetry, in fact two of
the most pleasant books I've read recently whave been Ian Davidson's 'Into
Thick Air' and (a poet new to me) Andrew Brewerton's 'Via', beautifully
produced, as ever, by Wild Honey Press. But I have been *enjoying*,
distinctly enjoying, quietly hovering over a number of new poems of my own
and not publishing them while I've been reading/re-reading poets entire or
entire to date (and I must say Geoffrey Hill is impressive read through in
that way, very very impressive)
It's good to alter one's pace.
