Fascinating 'rant' as Goode calls it, but leaves one wondering, What
(else) to do?
Poetry publishers in Canada get grants, & publish for most poets in
mall runs, & hope.
On the other hand, in the US, a few university presses do really
important work, the small presses do whatever they can, & occasionally
the 'big' presses do something with poets who have name recognition
(it's good to see that Bernstein Selected, but it does mean he is
definitely no longer on the margins....
I suspect, Chris Emory feels he has no choice....
