Dear colleague:
Please see the message below from the organisers of the 2010 Gordon Research Conference on Vibrational Spectroscopy. Best regards, Klaas
Dear colleagues:
As Co-Chairs of the 2010 Vibrational Spectroscopy Gordon Research Conference, which will be held in the University of New England (Biddeford, Maine) during the week of August 1-6, 2010, it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in this conference and to present a poster.
The 2010 Vibrational Spectroscopy GRC is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and important meetings in the area of probing molecular structure and dynamics using vibrational spectroscopy. We have brought together an outstanding and diverse group of scientists at the forefront of research. The final program of the conference can be found at http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?year=2010&program=vibrspectr. We hope that you will share our enthusiasm for this meeting and favorably consider this invitation.
Traditionally, this conference has been well attended by a large number of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Depending on the success of our fundraising efforts, we plan to provide financial support (~$500) for limited number of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. We will also have four short talks (15 minutes talk + 5 minutes discussion) to be selected from the poster presentations given by senior graduate students or postdoctoral fellows. The selection will occur four weeks before the conference among registered poster presenters. To be considered for the short talks, please submit an abstract of your talk (one page), a letter from your advisor, and publications to the conference co-chairs.
Instructions for online application and further information about this GRC can be found at the GRC site (http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?year=2010&program=vibrspectr). Please feel free to contact us if you have questions. We look forward to your participation in the 2010 Vibrational Spectroscopy GRC.
Sincerely,
