The London Lead Company must have supplied silver to the mint and a coin
was minted which included some mark to show that it was their silver.
30th April 1706.
The Depty Govr reported that he had been at the Treasury And that he had
brought down the warrant from the Queen, for a mark of distinction on the
coin of this Company’s Silver, & delivered it to the Mint. And that the
charges of obtaining the same came to £5:14:6.
