It is all too easy for the receiving to ignore an online petition, as it
requires very little effort to add a name to one. So please do write
personal letters or emails - they are much more compelling evidence of
personal outrage. The total effect of 100 different messages is far
greater than that of one letter (or online petition) with 100 signatures.
Nevertheless, I do think that as Michael sugests, it would be useful to
do both. I have no idea of how to construct an online petition, but id
one of you will do so I will gladly add my name. I ahe already written a
long leter to the vice Chancellor.
