Position: Senior Statistical Programmer (statistician positions also available)

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a SAS/Statistical programmer to work as a lead statistical programmer for a rapidly expanding Pharma/CRO organisation in Canada.
Following an extensive search and several hires already, my client has authorisation to sponsor talented statistical programmers looking to emigrate to Canada.

THE ROLE:
This position is expected to perform a leadership role in statistical programming and reporting areas, including but is not limited to the following: statistical programming, validation and quality control of the statistical analysis datasets and output tables/listings/graphs; statistical programming and validation of database logical checks and study specific monitoring reports.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Design statistical analysis dataset modules and create complete, validated, efficient analysis datasets following common standards, conventions, and statistical instructions.
2. Develop SAS programming codes and generate complete, accurate and validated statistical output reports of clinical trial data in well-defined formats.
3. Develop and test SAS codes for clinical trial database logical checks.
4. Document data and programming information in accordance to corporate SOP and guidelines.
5. Archive clinical trial data (raw data and analysis datasets), and programming information in accordance to corporate SOPs and guidelines.
6. Develop and provide expertise in other programming and system administration areas such as Unix, DataFax, Oracle and web according to business needs.
7. Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced Statistical Programmers.
MAJOR DECISIONS WITHIN THE INCUMBENT’S AUTHORITY LEVEL:
1. Time allocation to complete assigned projects.
2. Completeness, accuracy and efficiency of products.
3. Therapeutic area programming standards/conventions/procedures within assigned therapeutic areas as a lead programmer.
4. Schedule of training/education for professional development.
