RESEARCH FELLOW IN BIOSTATISTICS

Salary: £36,715 p.a.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced statistician to join the biostatistics team at the University of Manchester and contribute to the new NIHR Research Design Service for the North West (RDS-NW). There are three local centres within the regional service, based at the Universities of Lancaster, Liverpool and Manchester. The Greater Manchester centre is a new initiative, and this post is one of several new posts in Manchester for health methodologists.
You will join a team of senior methodology experts who will work together to provide a comprehensive advisory service for health researchers preparing high-quality, nationally-competitive research funding applications. We are seeking an individual with experience in designing and conducting health research and familiarity with a range of methodological approaches. In addition, you will be encouraged to develop your own methodological or collaborative health research programme.
The post is tenable until March 2015 in the first instance. Although this is a full-time post, applications for part-time working will be considered.
