To all members of the International Biometrics Society
This is a reminder to apply before midnight on 30th April if you wish to take advantage of the bursaries offered to support attendance at the International Biometrics Conference in Brazil. The regional committee of IBS invite applications from career-young biometricians, thanks in part to the generous support of the Fisher Memorial Trust.
Applications should be submitted by email to both [log in to unmask] and [log in to unmask] Please provide a one-page cover letter, a two-page CV, and the abstract that you have submitted to the conference website. In the cover letter, please make your case for support, stating clearly any other financial support you have for attending the conference, and outlining the importance of the conference to you. Please ensure that your CV makes clear that you are a 'career-young' biometrician: that is, that you have not been employed as a biometrician for more than five years. Preference will be given to those who have been employed as biometricians for less than three years. Applicants must be members of the society. The committee has agreed that members who joined after January 2010 may qualify only for a reduced bursary.
