Hi
Until recently I have always been opening azara format files and Analysis
has no problems with these with determining the nucleus type - I always
use the skip verification check box as it works so well.
When opening a Bruker processed 300MHz 1H 1D spectrum Analysis (v2.1.2)
thought it was a 13C 1D spectrum instead. I thought that this maybe just
because it was a 300MHz spectrum?
However, when opening 2D 1H,1H spectra (such as COSY/TOCSY/NOESY) in
nmrview format it naturally assumes that the nuclei are 13C (same for 300
or 600MHz data). Whilst this is not problematic - you just have to go
through the verification window and change the nucleus and then the
spectrometer frequency value (as that changes with the nucleus change -
surely it shouldn't if its read in the spectrometer frequencies correctly?
which it does) - it would be nice for it to get it right straight away
like it does with the azara format files.
This behaviour only seems to occur with homonuclear spectra -
heteronuclear spectra are opened with the correct nuclei.
thanks
Richard
