Hi Claire,
You could check for sites in 'Food in Medieval England' ed. Woolgar, Serjeantson and Waldron. There are references to rural sites in several of the chapters - though in general rural sites have fewer bones than urban and high status sites, as you know.

Subject: [ZOOARCH] rural medieval assemblages
Dear all,
Could anyone supply me with references (and pdfs if possible) to reports (published or unpublished) on rural medieval assemblages from Oxfordshire or other midland counties.
Many thanks
Claire
