Doug, I don't know what would account a 'deep insight' - it think, as a kind of unintended real time collaboration of artist and writer (6,000 miles apart) over the internet, this event was remarkable, if not personally mysterious, etc. My suspicion is - if not already - these kinds of virtual & improvised collaborations among artists. poets, etc. - will multiply on a global level. Maybe a variation on the line of something comparable to what Trevor Joyce, some years back, was doing with a number of us in his series (Off-Sets, whatever they were called.) Which led to some genuinely surprising work).
So, if what I wrote just creates a picture of my enthusiasm (true enough) for this event , I missed the mark. I found it certainly created a rich, complex and surprising haptic, different in intensity than others.
But, indeed, thanks for getting back to me on this.

No deep insights, Stephen, but it was fun to read your enthusiastic response to your enthusiastic (haptic) response.... Clearly meant a lot to you to get into that collaborative zone across the miles (or as we would say, kilometers)....

However, today I do want to draw attention to an account of what I experienced as a pretty extraordinary 'real time' unintended, internet collaboration with Sarah Sanders, a UK artist working in Manchester, some 6000 miles - and 8 hour time zone away from my home in San Francisco. Briefly,(last week) for the launch of Ekleksographia, she wrote constantly from sunrise Monday morning until Tuesday sunrise. The rest of the story, at least my account, is on the blog.
