University of Gothenburg, Faculty of Science announces:
Ph.D. position in Natural Science specialising in Chemistry,
at the Department of Chemistry
A doctoral position is available in the chemical dynamics group at the University of
Gothenburg, Sweden.
The research project involves theoretical investigation of chemical processes which are
ultimately important for the understanding of star and galaxy formation. Particular focus will
be on simulating adsorption and reaction of atoms and small molecules on interstellar ices.
We seek an individual with a strong background in theoretical physics, theoretical chemistry,
physical chemistry or chemical physics and with an interest in implementing and using the
tools of chemical dynamics on computers.
The position is funded by a European Initial Training Network LASSIE in which the
Gothenburg group is one of around fifteen partners.
The doctoral program is for four years in total but can be extended if teaching is done.
