based BA (Hons) Media Studies delivered at the University of Brighton. This
innovative course offers students a wide range of elective modules such as
Visual Culture; Language, Media and Power; Community Media; Marketing;
National & Global Media Studies; Political Communication; Media Policy;
Mediating Science and Technology alongside core and mandatory modules
such as Industry Placement; Research Methods and Methodologies; and the

BA (Hons) Broadcast Journalism
An experienced external examiner is required for a newly validated BA (Hons)
Broadcast Journalism. The course is delivered from the University of Brighton's
campus in Hastings. The course includes both practice-based and theoretical
modules with a vocational emphasis. The course team have developed the
course using the BJTC guidelines, with a view for applying for accreditation
once the course commences. It would therefore be beneficial if the appointed
examiner has had experience of development and delivery of an accredited
Journalism course. Start: September 2010 (duration: normally four years).

FdA/BA (Hons) Broadcast Media
An experienced external examiner is required for media production-based
modules on a suite of Foundation degrees in Broadcast Media, Television,
Radio and Postproduction, and also on the BA Broadcast Media top up degree.
The courses are delivered from the University of Brighton's campus in
Hastings. The modules include single-camera drama production, multi-camera
production both studio and OB, editing, radio drama production, documentary
