Dear fellow listers,
***APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTING***
We are currently in the process of reviewing our borrowing allowances (as we have merged libraries).
I was wondering if anyone out there knows of an equation to help calculate/guide how many items of stock it is appropriate to have on loan per user i.e. something dividing stock numbers by registered user numbers. I have seen a recommendation for school libraries but anything in healthcare or HE would be helpful. Clearly there a lot of factors to consider but a starting point would be good.
Thanking you in advance,
Happy Friday
Vicky
