Thanks for the suggestions Nicole,
We already have a reasonably resilient way of creating pure-Athens
near-WAYFless URLs, which is to use, e.g.:
http://auth.athensams.net/setorg.php?id=LINCUNI&ath_returl=http%3A%2F%2F
www.creativeclub.co.uk%2Ft%2Fathens.asp
Unfortunately the analogue:
http://auth.athensams.net/setorg.php?id=LINCUNI&ath_returl=http%3A%2F%2F
www.creativeclub.co.uk%2Fsecure%2Fenviroment.aspx&shire=https%3A%2F%2Fww
w.creativeclub.co.uk%2FShibboleth.sso%2FSAML%2FPOST&providerId=https%3A%
2F%2Fwww.creativeclub.co.uk%2Fshibboleth-sp
Doesn't provide the same result.
Paul

[LIS-E-RESOURCES] Creative Club - Athens
Hi Paul
You could use this URL, which is the standard Athens Authentication
point for Creative Club:
https://auth.athensams.net/?ath_returl=%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.creativeclub.
co.uk%2Ft%2Fathens.asp%22&ath_dspid=THOMSONMEDIA
or a slight variation of this:
https://auth.athensams.net/?target=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.creativeclub.co.uk%2
Fsecure%2Fenviroment.aspx&shire=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.creativeclub.co.uk%2FS
hibboleth.sso%2FSAML%2FPOST&providerId=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.creativeclub.co
.uk%2Fshibboleth-sp
which is the athens authentication point reached through the federation
WAYF.
Either way, because you are effectively always pointing the user to the
athens authentication point rather than to an IdP within an institution,
you cannot make it 'Lincoln' specific.
Hope that helps
