I organised a local fair in the summer and commissioned the Horniman
Museum to run some
activities based around a stall.
They brought some handling objects related to food or plants, so that
you could guess
their materials & origins.
They bought lots of rare & interesting plants and a gardener to give advice.
They created an installation by painting green several thrown-away
consumer items, and
provided big pens inviting people to write a green pledge on the items.
It was really good value and effective. Some photos can be seen here:
