Having looked quickly through it can see one minor problem. On line 408 you use a command called $HOME/tempcmd which is unlikely to be available on all systems. A more portable solution would be
scriptbase=$( basename $0 )
tempscript=$( mktemp ${scriptbase}.XXXXXXXXXX ) || exit 1
which will create the file in the current working directory.
