Aims and Scope
Since the advent of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) in 1978,
there has been an impressive growth both in theoretical developments and
applications of these developments to practical situations. On the
methodological front, we have seen the development of (1) various models
for measuring efficiency, (2) approaches for incorporating DMUs’
structures, (3) models for examining the status of variables, and (4)
models for evaluating data variations. After more than thirty years of DEA
development, this special issue seeks papers that address and extend the
above important areas of research in DEA. Novel applications as well as
survey papers on specific DEA research streams are also welcomed. The main
theme of the special issue is research aimed at extending the boundaries of
DEA.
