The Cambridge Research Institute (CRI) is a major new initiative of Cancer
Research UK in collaboration with the University of Cambridge. Strategically
situated on the Addenbrookeıs biomedical campus, the Institute emphasises a
multi-disciplinary approach linking the laboratory to the clinic to solve
problems associated with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

The Bioinformatics Core facility provides statistical and computational
support for research at the CRI through statistical data analysis, data
management, and training and consultation services, focussing primarily on
high-throughput genomics and proteomics technologies, including microarrays
and next generation sequencing.

We are seeking an experienced statistician to join our growing team. You
will be involved in all stages of the experimental process from design,
through analysis and interpretation to paper writing, working closely with
research scientists and providing support and guidance to other members of
the Bioinformatics Core. Statistical input into the experimental design
process is provided through weekly experimental design meetings in
collaboration with the Genomics Core. Other statistical advice is dispensed
through a weekly statistics clinic.

You should have a good first degree in a numerate discipline along with an

also have significant relevant experience working as a statistician

clustering and classification would be an advantage, along with experience
of multi-level modelling, survival analysis or Bayesian techniques. The
ideal candidate will have good programming skills in R. The role requires
good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
