Fiona,
If you talk about importing those data files,
then again your statement is no true. Since its
first release in 2004, QDA Miner imports MS
Access, Paradox, dBase, Excel, Lotus, and many
other dabases files using an ODBC connection
(Oracle, MySQL, SQLServer, etc.). We also support
tab delimited files, and a some XML formats,
including Triple-S, which is a standard for survey data.
And BTW, we also import Atlas.ti, HyperResearch,
Ethnograph, Transana and Transciber project
files. We also added this summer a converter
that can import NVivo 7 and NVivo 8 projects
(documents, image, transcripts, codebook, coding and memos).
