Dear all,
Working on Stock Rotation issues, a query arose that there is a rumour
in some quarters (perhaps limited) that Bridgeall 'SmartSM' stock
management solution *may* not be compatible with rotation methods
integral to LMS's (e.g. time based, dynamic).
From what little I knew. that seemed a little odd, as I assumed that a
service could operate a 'mixed econony' of rotation solutions if they
wished, on different stock elements, and could afford the staff time and
the software.
So, in the interests of clarity, I posed the question directly to George
Kerr of Bridgeall. He has formulated a response paper and posted it on
their website, and asked if I would notify the list. I assume he does
not want to be seen posting what some might feel to be marketing
information.
If you are interested, I would be interested to see the responses to
that papero f those with greater use and experience of rotation and the
various solutions.
Please note that Islington is not a SmartSM customer, and that I
personally have no bias for any particular method of Stock Rotation
(manual, LMS, SmartSM, pot luck...) nor involvement - personal,
financial, whatsoever - with George or Bridgeall.
Regards
JU
