'Internet Archaeology' is pleased to announce the publication of its 200th
article!
Publishing on the web since 1996, 'Internet Archaeology' makes use of the
huge potential of internet publication to present archaeological research in
unique and exciting ways.
The most recent article, 'Excavations in Heslerton: DigIT approaches to
digital recording' by Dominic Powlesland and Keith May with contributions
from James Rackham and Jess Tipper, discusses excavations at Heslerton
Parish Project Site 28 and assesses the use of digital developments within
field archaeology. The article draws a number of conclusions on the nature
of settlement within the Vale of Pickering and on the potential of digital
data collection in the field.
Thanks to a publication grant from English Heritage, this article is
published under Open Access and is therefore one of two articles in Issue 27
(http://intarch.ac.uk/journal/issue27/index.html) that is free to all.
