MRC-HPA Centre for Environment and Health
Postgraduate studentships available from October 2010
Applications are invited for PhD studentships in environment and health within the MRC-HPA Centre for Environment and Health. The Centre is a joint collaboration between Imperial College and King's College London with the mission to become an international centre of excellence for research and training on the health effects of environmental pollutants.
We particularly seek candidates with a strong interest in environmental and spatial epidemiology, environmental sciences, risk assessment and modelling, air and water pollution, biomarkers, environmental toxicology, biostatistics and metabonomics. Students will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will benefit from a strong and well-established training environment.
The Centre has up to twelve three- and four-year studentships available to commence from October 2010. Studentships will pay UK/EU tuition fees and a stipend to UK and EU nationals. All students at Imperial College London will belong to the Graduate School of Life Sciences and Medicine, while those registering at King's College London will belong to their Graduate School. Both Institutions provide a full and diverse programme of training in research and transferable skills.
