The Laboratory of MEG and ERP at the The Department of Neurosciences,
Hospital University Science Malaysia is seeking two highly talented,
innovative and enthusiastic Post Docs with a PhD awarded within the last
five years in Epileptology and/or Cognitive Neuroscience or related
disciplines to work in MEG and ERP projects.The research will be conducted
at the Hospital University Sains Malaysia an emerging neurosciences centre
using neuro-imaging methods. ?The ideal candidates must have expertise in
the acquisition and analysis of MEG/EEG data and good programming skills.
The candidates will also be expected to work within the team and will be
encouraged to actively contribute with own ideas and proposals. Applicants
must have imaging experience with a strong track record in experimental
psychology or computational neuroscience in the relevant areas are also
encouraged to apply. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a consistently
outstanding academic record, Experience with EEG/MEG inverse solutions,
connectivity analysis, and MATLAB programming are important.
Facilities
The University currently has a 1T and 1.5 T MRI (a purchase order for a 3T
MRI and 7T MRI is in the pipeline), a fully equipped Neurophysiology lab,
VEEG and Sleep study labs as well as the ERP(EGI) machine and an MEG
(Elekta). The hospital caters to a large population base covering the east
coast of peninsular Malaysia. The department provides training at the
undergraduate, postgraduate and post doctoral levels in clinical and basic

The position is immediately available and is fixed term for one year
extending up to 3 years.
