Dear colleagues,
apologies for cross-posting
ECREA has recently established the Television Studies Section which we now invite you to join. The section has already organised an inaugural conference, Contemporary Serial Cultures, in Potsdam, Germany (14-16 January 2010) and is now inviting paper proposals for the forthcoming ECREA conference in Hamburg (12-15 October 2010, http://www.ecrea2010hamburg.eu/). The section aims to be a central international network for scholars in television studies, and hopes to foster future collaborations between scholars internationally and on an interdisciplinary level. In order to do so, we are now establishing an email list through which television scholars can communicate. Information about our aims and objectives can be found here: http://www.ecrea.eu/divisions/section/id/19
If you would like to join us, please email Elke Weissmann ([log in to unmask]), with a short biographical note which includes research interests, your affiliated institution and your email address.
In the future, we also hope to develop strong ties with other sections of ECREA, such as the Audience and Reception Studies Section or the Digital Culture and Communication Section.
Best wishes,
Lothar Mikos
