Choices were made as to which grid components were migrated to SL5
64bit. The lcg-CE was not one of them. Whether that was a wise decision
is an entirely different question. If you want to question that decision
I'd advise to take it up with the relevant parties involved. It does not
change the fact that the lcg-CE is validated against SL4 32bit only.
Even if you were to convince the right people that we need an lcg-CE on
SL5 64bit then the combo SL4 64bit + lcg-CE would still not be supported.
Having said that, if the 32bit lcg-CE (and its yaim components) can be
made to run properly on SL4 64bit without too much effort then I'm all
for it. Just don't start ranting on this email list if this unsupported
combo does not work out of the box.
