THE ORGANISATION
SPSA provides Scotland with a range of vital support services and an expert
police resource to lead the country’s overt and covert fight against drugs and
serious organised crime. From the training they receive to make it onto our
streets, to the technology they use when they are out there. From the
intelligence they need to progress an investigation, to the evidence gathering
needed to secure a conviction. From the expertise needed to take out a local
cannabis farm, to the international partnerships needed to disrupt a money
laundering scheme, the Scottish Police Services Authority (SPSA) is an
integral partner for the forces and the Scottish Government in supporting
policing to serve Scotland.
THE ROLE
To provide in-depth technical guidance to users, in relation to the use of the
Scottish Police Service’s enterprise GIS applications; providing input to both
introductory training for novice user, in support of the release of software to
live, and more complex technical training for advanced power users. To
