After successfully installing Boost, Qt4.5, Qwt5.2, CMAKE 2.8, VTK 5.4.2,
and FSL 4.1.5(binaries + sources) and changing the
/usr/local/fsl/src/fslview/src/fslview/CMakeLists.txt to look for the Qt4
package instead of Qt3 and the path for Qwt4 to Qwt5
I was able to run the CMake build tree configuration as described in
http://www.fmrib.ox.ac.uk/fsl/fslviewbuild/compiling.html.
However, while running make I ran into the following error, which seems to
me is a path not found problem:
[ 1%] Built target znz
[ 1%] Built target niftiio
[ 1%] Built target fslio
[ 8%] Built target newmat
[ 14%] Built target prob

/usr/local/fsl/src/fslview/src/fslview/preferences.cpp:19:22: error:
qvariant.h: No such file or directory
... and goes on complaining about missing headers
I can see that these headers can be found in /usr/local/qt/include/QtCore
However, I've been unable to find where should I specify this path. I cannot
see where the QT_INCLUDE_DIR variable is defined.
I recognized I did not use the older Qt, Qwt, VTK versions indicated, but
these libraries were successfully compiled on my OS Leopard without troubles...
Any help, will be appreciated,
Julio
