Folks:
A couple of weeks ago I suggested that we start talking about specific
properties we might want to include in the DC-Ed AP, and I set up a
number of groupings and two week increments for discussing those
groupings (with hopes that we'd come to a reasonably timed conclusion
about them, of course).
My suggestions were based on the wiki at:
http://dublincore.org/educationwiki/Properties, and suggested for a
first pass:
*Feb. 10-26*
P1: Subject * dc:subject * lom: keyword (1.5) * lom: classification:
purpose (9.1)
P18: Type * dcterms:type * lom:learning Resource Type
P20: Designed for reuse
Now, I was hoping that my un-subtle little push might have some effect,
without having to reveal my own preferences. I haven't the depth of
experience in the education sector that many of you on this list have,
and am primarily the co-moderator in a herding capacity. As we're now
at Feb. 25, with absolutely no conversation about these properties, it's
time for an even more un-subtle push: if we can't talk about this stuff
in some manner, can we expect to complete to finish an AP in time to get
the DC Usage Board to have a look in October?
Clearly not.
So, unless somebody has a better idea about how to go about this, I'd
suggest we let this task rise a bit higher on our ToDo lists, and start
talking.
Mme. Herder awaits your opinions!
