Dear all,
You may recall the recent publication of the "Masters [sic] of
Political Science", a volume by ECPR Press which entirely overlooked
the contribution of women to political science. Following complaints
about this publication, the press have been in contact to ask for
suggestions of books by women political scientists which would be
suitable for inclusion in the ECPR Classics Series. Please note that
there are very specific criteria for inclusion in this series:
1. The book must have made a notable contribution to political studies
2. The book must currently be out of print. This is very important.
Otherwise it will still be available from another publisher, and will
not be suitable for the ECPR Classics series.
3. Please limit your nominations to books authored by women and/or
with a clear feminist content. Male-authored and non-feminist texts
are already over-represented.
I would like to make a few suggestions on behalf of the group, and ask
that you please email me your suggestions no later than Wednesday 27
January, after which time I will reply to the press with a list of
suggestions. Please ensure that your suggestions meet the above
criteria, as I will not be able to put forward suggestions that do
not.
Thanks and best wishes
Rainbow
