Dear all,
I am writing form NHS Tower Hamlets, on behalf of a colleague who has
asked me to do a search looking at the impact of "faith and health"
initiatives on access to primary care. In Tower Hamlets we have a range
of activities, including Faith Worker posts and information circulated
through Mosques around flu amongst others.
This isn't the first time I have been asked to do this type of search,
and I know that although a lot of work is happening with faith
communities of all kinds in the UK, searches of published literature
tend to find US studies, which whilst interesting are harder to relate
to the primary care access issues we have here.
We would be very interested to hear from others about any initiatives
related to faith and religious communities with a link to primary care
access. We are interested in all faith groups, especially any work done
in London.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Kind regards,
Helen Spence
